The Design Story

Inspired by the grand overmantel mirrors of the 1920s and 1930s, the design explores the disciplined geometry associated with the Art Deco period, softened through foxed glass and restrained detailing. The segmented composition creates a subtle interplay between reflection and structure, while the slender frame gives the piece a lightness despite its scale.

Behind the Scenes

Each mirror plate is individually silvered and antiqued by hand to develop depth, tonal variation, and a softly atmospheric quality across the surface. The segmented panels are carefully aligned within a brass frame, allowing fine shadow lines to emerge between each section.
