The Design Story

The Octavia was designed to capture the character of a cut gemstone, precise yet luminous, decorative yet refined. Its distinctive octagonal form gives the piece a playful elegance, while the faceted cathedral glass edge catches and refracts light from every angle. The result is a mirror that feels richly detailed and glamorous without becoming ornate.

Behind the Scenes

Each section of cathedral glass is individually cut and mitred by hand so the faceted border flows seamlessly around both the front and sides of the frame. Achieving the crisp geometry of the octagonal form requires exceptional precision, particularly where the angled joints meet. The glass is carefully selected for its depth of colour and natural movement, allowing subtle tonal variation to emerge across the surface and giving the finished piece its jewel-like quality.
