The Design Story

Influenced by 1940s chair design, the Brompton focuses on clarity of form and honest construction. The proportions are deliberately generous, allowing the upholstery to feel inviting and comfortable, whether in leather, velvet or patterned fabric. Unlike more decorative dining chairs, the Brompton relies on balance, proportion and craftsmanship for its character.

Behind the Scenes

Each Brompton Chair is built around a solid oak frame, made and assembled by hand to ensure long-term strength and stability. The upholstery process requires precision to achieve the chair’s clean, uninterrupted lines. Fabrics and leathers are carefully tailored around the frame, with particular attention paid to the corners, piping and seat proportions so the finish feels sharp yet soft.
