From the beginnings of his career as gilder and restorer, Rupert Bevan has transformed his skills and experience into the foundation of a furniture company with a rich understanding of countless different styles, materials and finishes.
We work with top interior designers and architects in private homes, hotels and restaurants to produce bespoke interiors rich in diverse styles, materials and finishes.
About Us
Materials
Rupert Bevan sources materials from companies who prioritise sustainable practices. Using timber from a local sawmill that promotes the use of British timber and supports British woodlands, to sourcing veneers from smaller local companies.
We collaborate with our suppliers to have a traceable and certified material catalogue. We aim to minimise any material wastage by reusing and recycling any off-cuts.
Packaging
In order to minimise waste and reduce the amount of plastic used, we no longer purchase feather foam to package and protect our products or samples.
We reuse any remaining packaging and transport and deliver all our furniture in hand-stitched RB furniture blankets.
Our people
It is important to us that each member of our team feels valued. Promoting and preserving our skilled craftspeople is key to us – we recently moved our workshops to larger premises to allow for all four workshops and our design team to work seamlessly together.
We are always looking for new skilled craftspeople to join the growing RB team.
Goals
Whilst we have put measures in place to reduce our impact on the environment, we are always striving to improve.
Regarding material use and sustainability, we aim to ensure that all materials used are biodegradable or can be recycled by the end of 2030. By the end of 2025, all our materials sourced will have full traceability from source to suppliers.
